Dr. Kim-Huong Tran D.D.S.

Howdy,

My name is Kim-Huong Tran.  I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1981.  Since that fateful day, I have made the Houston area my new home.  Growing up in the U.S., it was only natural that I became a U.S. citizen and also to become a productive member of my community.  There were many influences that help me lean towards the field of dentistry, none more than my wonderful parents and my mother’s best friend, who is a dentist herself.  My family life is everything to me.  I cherish all the moments I get to spend with them; especially my incredible, caring and loving husband, Donavan.  I work and live in the Katy community and FamilyKare sponsors many of the community programs.

I attended Elementary, Junior High and High School in Alief (Southwest Houston).
My college days were spent up in College Station where I received my B.S. at
Texas A&M (Gig 'em).  The education bug’s next stop was at the Texas Medical Center.  This is where I received my D.D.S degree in May of 2000 at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston.  Since 2000, I have continued to further educate myself
in the field of dentistry through various continuing education courses and local
study clubs.  I am a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, Houston Asian Dental Society, and Westside Implant Study club.  These organizations have helped me gain new
knowledge as well as valuable friends and colleagues.  Through them, I have a
wonderful opportunity to be most current on all aspects of dentistry.

My philosophy is to give my clients the best dental care possible.  Henceforth,
all my clients experience a very thorough and comprehensive exam based on their individual needs.  Dental care should not be based solely upon the type of insurance a client has, but also the value we put on our smile.  Keep in mind that no insurance
company has ever given a full dental exam to any of its policy holder.  The policy is
only a discounted rate of what the insurance company will cover.  When a client and I
are in agreement with the treatment plan presented, after a thorough and
comprehensive exam, the road to a life-long dental care begins.

I would like to invite you to my practice and would love to meet you and your family.

                                                                                Sincerely,                                                                                   Dr. Tran
